Series 2: Episode 1: Draplin

We’re ba-aack! After a much longer than anticipated break, we’ve finally managed to get some time to record new stuff, and we thought that it would be great to kick-off with a biggie: Aaron Draplin! Dave and Aaron had a nice chat in October 2018 and you can be a fly-on-the-wall in this extended intro to Series 2.

We have got new kit, Tony is in his new studio, but we’ve had some teething troubles with this episode in the intro; that aside, we hope you enjoy the show!

Note: There may be a teensy, weensy little bit of the swears in this episode.

006: Return of The Redeye

In this episode, we’ve managed to get some actual vector stuff in! OK, so it’s a small segment, but we’re working on it.

005: So Long, 2017

It’s finally here—the end of 2017 is in plain sight and for some—and perhaps most—of us that’s a relief; we’re especially thinking of our friends that have had (and are having) a bumpy ride this year—we hope 2018 will bring you better times.

In this episode we visit the design department of the rebellion (Star Wars, just in case the FBI got interested) and loads of other nonsense, as usual. This isn’t a Star wars episode, except when it is.

Happy Holidays to all and best wishes for 2018.

We are both available for carol singing at short notice.

002: Stuff

This episode covers a range of topics (hence the title)!

Mentioned in This Episode:

  • The Designer’s Fiesta (discount code: NINJA40 for 40% off)
  • VectorFest (our planned event for 2018, and hopefully beyond)
  • The Search for Segments of Interest
  • Tony gets cross with an article from an @Illustrator Twitter post, and unleashes a number of shameless plugs for his stuff
  • Dave shares his thoughts on events and laments the lack of an Illustrator/Design show (we’re trying to plug that gap)

We mention our friends Ben and Ian a lot (and give them tasks without them asking for them) along with Gordon Reid (@middleboop) Radim Malinic (@brand_nu) and Alan Hess (@shotlivephoto) among others.
